Friday
The arrival in the Faroe Islands is a special experience, especially when the sky is clear. The view from the plane’s window is captivating — really giving you that WOW feeling.
Upon arrival at Vágar Airport, a shuttle will be waiting to drive you to Hotel Føroyar in Tórshavn, where you will check in for four nights.
At Hotel Føroyar you will be greeted by the reception staff. On this first evening you will dine in Áarstova located in the city center. Áarstova is well known for its delicious and succulent Faroese lamb which is slow roasted for more than ten hours.
Saturday
On this day you will experience some pampering at the hotel’s spa, Ress. You will start off with Rasul, an ancient bathing ritual. The treatment takes place in a steam room and combines the health inhancing properties of heat, steam and mineral rich mud. Afterwards you will be treated to a full body massage. Your mind will be soothed with this calm and peaceful massage enriched with the scents of organic oils. After your treatment you get to relax with a nice cup of herbal tea, fruit, and nuts in the spa´s lounge.
Sunday
On this day you will explore the surroundings of Tórshavn on a guided mountain bike tour in the afternoon. Take in the views and fresh air in a special way that will be sure to remember. The tour is suitable for experienced and non-experienced riders alike.
In the evening you will celebrate New Year's Eve at the hotel’s restaurant Ruts, where you get to enjoy a 7-course menu with wine, and champagne and cake on the roof at midnight.
Monday
You are free to explore on your own. We recommend that you head into the charming city of Tórshavn. Take a walk through the old part of town, where you will get a good sense of its history and culture. Visit the art museum to experience some spectacular local artists and the Nordic house for some amazing architecture and lovely lunch buffet. You can also visit one of the many charming cafes and the shops in town. If you would prefer a guided tour, please let us know.
Tuesday
Your tour on the Faroe Islands has come to an end. You will be picked up by an airport shuttle that will take you back to Vágar Airport. We hope that you feel recharged and that you have enjoyed your time here to the fullest.
