Day 1

Arriving at Vágar airport there will be a rental car waiting you. From Vágar you drive to Tórshavn where you will check in at 4-star Hotel Føroyar. The hotel offers a great view of the city, the fjord and the island of Nólsoy. After you have settled in at the hotel, you will meet with the photo guide. Together you will go over the program and which amazing experiences are yet to come.

During the days you will be the driver between all photo stops.

Day 2

Vágar

The crown jewel of Faroe Islands photography. It’s hard to decide where to start, but fortunately, Vágar is small in size, allowing us to adapt our locations to the best available light. Here’s a list of spots that no AI-generated photo canmatch: the dramatic “Witch’s Finger” rock, the panoramic view from “Slave Cliff,” the towering Geituskorardrangur rock wall, the famous sea stacks of Drangarnir, the rugged islet of Tindhólmur, the charming village of Bøur, the iconic Múlafossur waterfall in Gásadalur, and several lesser-known locations that offer unique compositions.

This will be an intensive, high-energy, and wildly creative day, where every moment behind the camera is an opportunity for a truly remarkable shot.

Day 3

Kalsoy

This “Million Dollar View” is one of the most sought-after shots in the Faroe Islands, a dream image for any photographer. From Kalsoy, the perfectly layered landscapes of Streymoy and Eysturoy unfold in the distance, creating an almost painterly composition with cinematic depth. The legendary sea stacks, "The Giant and the Witch," rise from the Atlantic, adding a striking focal point to enhance your storytelling.

While composing this masterpiece, there’s always the option to wait for a lone hiker to step into the foreground, adding a sense of scale and adventure. Nearby, the Kallur Lighthouse is another highly photogenic location. A stop at the village of Mikladalur offers additional opportunities for varied compositions.

This day is designed to leave you with portfolio-worthy images. Whether you're a professional or a hobbyist, our photographer guide will not only provide access to incredible photo spots but also share valuable tips and secrets to refine your skills.

Day 4

Sandoy

The hidden gem of Faroese photography. Sandoy has long been overlooked, once accessible only by ferry. But with the newly built tunnel, this untouched paradise is now within easy reach—offering a wealth of undiscovered compositions waiting to be captured.

This island is a landscape photographer’s dream, featuring lesser-known villages framed by stunning backdrops, dramatic cliffs plunging into the sea, serene lakes, towering sea stacks, and rugged shores sculpted by the North Atlantic. The lack of crowds allows for a more intimate experience, giving you the freedom to craft truly unique images.

Day 5

Streymoy

Aday dedicated to capturing the “real Faroese mood” in photography. We start in the picturesque village of Kirkjubøur, known for its traditional Nordic architecture. From there, we drive over a mountain pass with two breathtaking panoramic spots—perfect for playing with compositions featuring valleys, curvy oads, and distant islands.

Next, we visit the iconic village of Saksun, followed by the impressive Fossa waterfall. Saving the best for last, we conclude the day in Tjørnuvík, a village nestled in a dramatic bay that looks like something straight out of the Vikings series. From the beach, we’ll have a stunning view of the sea stacks, "The Giant and the Witch," offering endless composition possibilities.

If you ever run out of ideas, don’t worry—our local photography guide will help you discover new perspectives. Be sure to bring enough memory cards and fresh batteries; you’ll need them!

Day 6

Eysturoy

A true treasure trove for landscape and travel photography, Eysturoy boasts striking sea stacks, dramatic mountain peaks, winding roads, and breathtaking views over valleys and islands. Highlights include the charming village of Gjógv, nestled around a natural gorge, where traditional Faroese houses blend with the wild coastal scenery. A short but rewarding hike to Hvíthamar reveals an incredible elevated vantage point overlooking Funningur, offering compositions that shift with the changing light. Beyond the well-knownlocations, our photography guide will lead you to hidden gems—secluded spots where untouched landscapes and unique perspectives create unforgettable photo opportunities.

Day 7

Borðoy, Kunoy & Viðoy

Today, we embark on an unforgettable journey through the remote and rugged northernmost islands of the Faroe Islands—Borðoy, Kunoy, and Viðoy. These islands offer countless incredible photo opportunities, with breathtaking scenery ideal for striking compositions.

Highlights include the panoramic view from Klakkur, overlooking the town of Klaksvík and the neighboring islands of Kunoy and Kalsoy, as well as a visit to a picturesque village on Kunoy. We’ll also explore Viðareiði, the northern most village in the Faroes, along with a few hidden gems along the way.

Make sure your memory cards have plenty of space and your batteries are fully charged!

Day 8

Your photo experience on the Faroe Islands has come to an end and you will leave the islands with more knowledge, lots of photos, and many memories.
